thanks lisa. great to meet you. always wish i had more time to spend with people at the wbc, but it moves pretty fast and is over before you know it. we also had to leave early sunday morning, so missed out on the last day.

sorry i missed the video diary. i walked by it so many times and never really timed it right. if you do the same thing next year, i'd love to be involved. looks like they went really well.

i will be there for wbc11 - looking forward to it, especially since i know nothing about virginia wines.

I’m sorry we didn’t get a chance to talk more at the Wine Bloggers Conference. I really enjoyed your panel discussion and was also happy to get assigned your table during the Live Wine Blogging Session.

hey joshimac - very nice comments. not sure i deserve them, but part of why i do this is that i hope it helps people navigate the world of wine, which is a horribly complicated and fragmented space. it's fun for me, so glad to hear it's helpful for you.

and your comments are always welcome. really appreciate you keeping up like you do. as for your friends, they don't know what they're missing... :-)

As a regular reader of wine blogs I'm certainly happy that people like you put your passion to paper (so to speak) for all of us to follow. I read some of the magazines on a monthly basis as well but for the most part they all seem too aloof and impersonal for my taste and my wine reality. Though the intellectual side of me likes reading about things like DRC, the practical side knows I have very little chance of ever having the opportunity to taste something like that. So it's hard to relate, if you get my point. Reading people like you, Jason, and Robert (among others) opens a very accessible world of wine. Especially for someone like me, whose friends aren't that in to wine and think I'm a little crazy about being so in to it.

So thanks for doing what you do! If they ever have a Wine Blogger Commenters conference I'll be sure to attend!

Very few people in their lives find their passion, and even less take action to make it a reality. I would suggest that the steps you took to not only make it a reality, but to share it with the world puts you in a very unique camp, and one to be very proud of. It was a pleasure to meet you RJ, if only for a minute, and I hope our paths cross again in the future!
