hey josh - yep, it was hard in the bay area when i was there too. with k&l wines, you have to get lucky and they sometimes have some good selections. i never found my place there for wa wines - i always ordered them from avalon / northwest wines or from the winery.

I tend to agree with Joshua on availability of WA wines here in Boston- it's tough going. The wines I've tried that are outside the norm haven't delivered value above and beyond Columbia Crest. This Wild Sky was the exception- and it came from Garagiste which was a pain because I had to ship to a neighboring state.

I would love to try the Poet's Leap. Actually, I would love to explore many more WA wines, especially syrahs, but they are somewhat hard to come by here in the Bay Area. I mean, you can find a few Charles Smith offerings like Velvet Devil & Kung Fu Girl and a few others (plus the big boys like Columbia Crest) on a regular basis but for the most part I can't find anything else. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place. I was just at K&L last night and I didn't see much.
