It's always nice to find a good $20-ish bottle of wine, one that holds its own and you don't feel guilty drinking on a weeknight. This is one of those wines. Nicely balanced, with a smooth, mid-length finish. Bright, juicy red fruits up front, with tobacco and earth. Medium and refreshing acidity, with surprisingly grippy tannins. Next time I have this wine, it's going to be with a very juicy burger and a huge plate of french fries. My rating: 88 / Very Good

Well done for all your hard work in providing this high quality blog.
thanks for the kinds words. always fun to do. if you have any topic requests, let me know and i'll see what i can do.
I'll have to give this one a shot. One of my favorite wines around $20 is BenMarco Malbec. A massive, complex wine with every penny!
Thanks AdamsWineGuide. I will definintely have to check that out - I'm a big fan of Malbec and, to be honest, have always found the lower-priced Malbecs to be more to my taste (altho, to be fair, I haven't explored a ton of the higher-end Malbecs).
Cheers!
This sounds right up my alley! I'll see if I can find some for my special night!
