I've added a new category in the Category list to your left called "Wines to avoid." I've hesitated adding the category because I may not like a wine that you think is great. But, in the end, there are the occasional wines that I really do think are worth avoiding and those that I'm more than happy to pour down the drain. The wines that make this list are generally unbalanced, too alcoholic, nothing but oak, nothing but fruit, watered down, too much manure and/or just something that I don't care to ever taste again. At times, you'll see wines on my list that others loved, but I don't take this category lightly and I'm hoping you find it useful. I know I depend on the wine bloggers and experts that I follow to do a bit of the work for me, and if they have a good track record of picking wines, I believe them. So, take the category or leave it, but I do promise you this - if a wine is in this category, I really have poured it down the drain and will not return. I'm all for experimenting with wine, but, there are just too many wines out there to not have some help along the way.
And, I'd love to hear your thoughts on whether or not you think this category is useful...let me know.

If you have tasted them and have time to blog about them then why not!
Personally I dont have time to blog about all the good wines I try let alone bothering with the poor ones!
yep, it's tough to blog about all the wines and there are plenty i drink without posting, most of them not so good. but, there are the few rare wines that i don't think anyone will like, so its probably worth letting folks know so they can spend their time elsewhere.
thanks for the feedback.
